Keith B is completely correct. I have 2 NVME drives in my STRIX 550 board, and using the second m.2 closed off my SATA 5 and 6, which was fine with me. I use a 6TB WD Black that has lots of past computer saved data as well as a pretty stout media library that I am working on putting on a server so that I can always have access, but only rely on the 2 – 1TB NVME’s. Using both M.2 slots and still needing 4, or 3 mechanical drives would be insanity. I’m sure someone has done it, but good lord, why? Also, I hope you swiped a 3070 when they were available. Otherwise your first build is going to be in 2022+. I’m happy with my 2070 super. If I had the ability to buy a 3000 nvidia gpu, I might, but I’m happy with my choice for now, it’s always done what I needed. Also, with the “price point”, just know that there are no founders cards being produced and everything will be at the price that MSI and ASUS and EVGA land on their products. I like an Asus Tuf, but an FTW3 would be rather tempting. I might pick up a 4000 series and maybe get in a raffle for the first day they are released.

Is it possible to spend a bit more money and get a better CPU that’s still compatible with everything else.
If so what would you recommend?
Also is there anything I can add to get more storage?
I’m new to this and need a little help anything is appreciated.

Hello. I did a similar build, that included this motherboard, and this SSD. However, I am unable to boot an OS because the motherboard cannot detect the SSD. I have updated to the latest BIOS as well, not sure what to do. Any help would be appreciated!
