I went with Evo version. To enjoy the full capabilities of Pro first I would have to have a need to overwrite the entire disk each and every day to justify spending of 200 bucks more on Pro version. I will never have such a need nor requirement in my daily workload. Again, thank you for cementing my decision.

Just to add a little bit to your excelent answer: 1TB EVO Plus is rated at 600 TBW and 1TB PRO (not EVO PRO as in the article ‍♂️) is double that at 1200 TBW so it will live way longer before it fails. I’ve seen drives rated at 300TBW fail after 3 years.

Samsung calls it multi-bit MLC on EVO drives, but by definition it is TLC. Therefore confusing customers.
